We’ve all heard it before:

“Just think positively.”

“Visualise it and it will come.”

“Raise your vibration and the Universe will deliver.”

It’s uplifting advice... in theory. But in reality? It often doesn’t feel that simple. I’ll be honest — manifesting wasn’t something I really focused on for myself. Sure, I’d heard stories of it working for others, and I’ve tried a few techniques over the years. Some of them made sense. Others? Not so much. And truthfully, I never felt like I had much success with them. Manifesting wasn’t something that sat on my radar. I wasn’t chasing it — just something sitting on the side-lines.

 In this blog, we’ll explore why manifesting doesn’t always work — and how hidden energetic blocks might be quietly getting in the way.

When manifesting feels blocked - what's really in the way?

Over time, as an energy healer, my work naturally led me to uncover and clear different types of energetic imbalances in others — sometimes related to abundance or receiving. I learnt there were many energetic imbalances that could quietly interfere with our ability to manifest — things like past life vows, generational beliefs, fear of change or emotional clutter we’ve carried for years. I worked on some of these for myself, but mostly when they surfaced as part of someone else’s healing journey— seldom as a focused effort just for me.

Then something shifted.

When my friend Lisa and I began talking about co-creating a new workshop, the topic of manifesting came up. And for the first time, I started to really look at the how and why of it — not just the “wish for it” part, but what might really be blocking someone (like me!) from fully connecting with and receiving what they desire.

As we shared stories, insights, and tools, we realised something was missing from many of the manifesting approaches out there. It wasn’t just mindset. It wasn’t just visualising.

It was clearing the path first — energetically and emotionally — manifesting with depth before trying to call anything in.

Clear the blocks. Align your energy. Manifest with ease.

We wanted to go beyond surface-level positivity and help people actually clear what’s getting in the way. That meant looking at past life vows (like vows of poverty), inherited beliefs about money and self-worth, subconscious survival patterns and blocks around receiving.

And from that space of clarity, we began crafting our own unique manifesting process — one that works with the energy body and brings in a sense of alignment and soul-guided action.

💫 Why Manifesting Doesn’t Always Work — and What’s Often Missing

So many people try to manifest from the surface — with affirmations, vision boards, or “good vibes.” But underneath that surface, there can be tangled knots of resistance:

• A vow of poverty made lifetimes ago

• A deep belief that “more” isn’t safe

• Fear of being seen or successful

• Or simply being stuck in survival mode for so long that dreaming big feels impossible

When we don’t clear those energetic patterns, manifesting can feel blocked, frustrating, or even defeating. That’s why one of the most empowering things you can do is start by clearing the clutter.
